Duck Radio Puzzle: 1438 Briefcase Code
Quick answer
Enter 1438 on the duck-room briefcase. The radio values are 892, 663 and 117; use the two values for the red and green ducks, then subtract the blue duck’s value: 892 + 663 − 117 = 1438. To reveal all three signals, hatch the egg with the cloth chicken obtained from the scientist.

- Unlock the Laboratory fingerprint door to reach the duck room.
- Keep the egg, sardine can, tweezers and radio knob. Collect the can opener and small umbrella from the box in the duck room.
Follow the clues

Use the sardines to catch the crab
Open the sardine can with the can opener. At the office tank, use the fish to lure the crab and pick it up with the tweezers. Take the drinking glass from the brown-cat room if it is not already in your inventory.
You’ll know it worked: The crab can be used on the coconut.

Make the decorated coconut drink
Use the crab to cut the coconut. Pour the coconut liquid into the glass and add the small cocktail umbrella. Give the finished drink to the scientist and collect the cloth chicken he offers.
You’ll know it worked: You have the chicken needed to hatch the egg.

Hatch the egg in the empty nest
Return to the duck room, put the egg in the empty right-hand nest and place the cloth chicken on it. Then tap each duck and look at the wave pattern displayed for its call.

Match the waves on the radio
Fit the knob to the radio in the white-cat room. Tune the display until the wave matches each duck’s call and record the matching number. The relevant values are 892, 663 and 117. The red and green ducks supply the two values to add; subtract the blue duck’s 117.
You’ll know it worked: You can substitute a number for every duck in the arithmetic clue.

Calculate the code and open the briefcase
Read the colored-duck formula from the box in the duck room: red plus green minus blue. Calculate 892 + 663 − 117, enter 1438 on the briefcase and take the note inside.

If you’re still stuck
I found 882 in another walkthrough. Which number is correct?
The pictured radio value is 892. Both the other written walkthroughs and the arithmetic agree: 892 + 663 − 117 is 1438. Substituting 882 would give 1428, which does not match the documented briefcase answer.
Where is the radio knob?
It is one of the rewards in the chameleon’s red box, alongside the key and wiring note.
Why are there only two usable duck clues?
Complete the egg-and-cloth-chicken interaction in the empty nest. The chicken comes from giving the scientist the coconut drink with its umbrella.
What do I do with the briefcase note?
Return through the memory menu to Unknown Place and inspect the chest beside the phonograph. The note is a symbol-lock clue, not another frequency to tune.
